This is by far my most popular service. Try it once and you'll find out why.
Here's how it works. All of us have stamps that are difficult to sell or trade. They may be extremely common, or very valuable, or you may have hundreds of copies of each stamp, or they may be from an unpopular country.
Whatever stamps you have, bundle them up and mail them off to me. I will evaluate them and make you an offer of credit against my approvals. If you accept my offer, take approvals from the ones I send you, and if you do not use all your credit, I will send you more. If you don't feel I offered you enough, send my approvals back and I will send you your stamps back. You even have 12 weeks to make up your mind.
For reasons of postage costs, I ask that everyone who wishes to use this service send no fewer than 1000 stamps each time, or $100.00 catalogue value in better stamps.
Although I send more than enough approvals to cover your available credit with each selection, there is a small charge for postage if I send you more than one selection of approvals. However, I waive the postage charge if you send more stamps for credit.
Many of my customers are looking for something specific. You may have a want list or may need mint Canada or mint topicals. I will hunt down any stamps you may want in exchange for the ones you send me. However, there is a long waiting list for special requests like this, and be prepared to wait 3-6 months to receive approvals. On the other hand, I fill most requests for global general approvals right away.
Remember, I take anything philatelic in trade. Do not be shy about sending me anything. My basic rule is that if you don't want it, and no-one you know wants it, and you can't think of anyone who might want it, you should send it to me. (However, I should warn you that common, on-paper stamps are not worth very much, even to me. You may get less in credit than what you pay in postage to send them to me.)
Amounts given in credit are subject to change. Offers depend on demand for stamps and the amount of the stamps you send that I already have in stock. However, I always accept valid postage from countries with hard currency at face value.
If you tire of my approvals, you can convert any credit amount to cash at 80%, minus postage and bank or post office fees. However, please note that this counts as a special order and may take 3-4 months to process.
